Final Reflection

I think that in terms of my contribution, I am most proud of building a stable and cool sukkah. The thing that was most challenging was putting the skach up because it kept falling down. What I would change is to not do edublogs because I think that it is a waste of time. I think that instead of us blogging about stuff that might have had to do with the sukkah, we could have started making our prototypes and thinking about what we wanted our sukkah to look like.

Mid-quarter Reflection

Effort: I think that for the effort part, I did really good, but I know that I could have exceeded the expectations if I really wanted to. I really worked really hard on the model sukkah and  I thought I wrote my blogs well. Although sometimes I would get distracted, I still worked hard for the other times when I wasn’t distracted. If I wasn’t distracted as much I would give myself a 4 but since I got distracted a lot, I will give myself a 3.

Achievement: I think that for the achievement part, I did great. I worked as hard as I could. Even though I had little time to make the 3D model sukkah, I still managed to get it done. I wish I had done as well or even better on effort than on achievement. I helped out my group, my original and the combined one on the other model sukkah, wrote my blogs well(I think) and so I think that I deserve a 4.

Teamwork

Luckily, I am in a group that has people who I work well with and also that they work hard. So for me, the easiest thing is working together in my group. There are many other things though, too. Like how we share our ideas very well and no one gets left out. We all also have a lot of good ideas that we can choose from.                                                                                                                    The only hard thing is that not very often I might talk to a friend. So, if the people in my group are working on something different than me, I might talk to one of my friends. Otherwise, everything is going well.

על שלשה דברים

על שלשה דברים to me means that you can’t study or work, or pray, or be nice to others to accomplish something. It is better to do more than needed than doing less than expected. If you want to succeed you need to do what is necessary and not skip a step. In your life, you can’t only do one thing. You need to do multiple things to succeed. Studying is important because without working and/or studying, you can’t learn. Praying is an important part to the Jewish religion. Being nice is very important because if you are mean to everyone, you won’t have friends and friends are very important. But, you have to do everything to succeed.

Hopes For This year

My goals for this project are to make a nice, enjoyable, sukkah. I think that this is definitely possible. I want to learn how to work better with the tools that you use with wood but also how to work better with wood. I also definitely want to have fun. One example of FAILure was when Rabbi Steigmann told us to give out tickets from the booth that Milo and I were running and we gave out tickets every time the person made a goal but apparently Rabbi Steigmann told us not to give out the tickets every time that they scored. One frustration that I had was that Rabbi Steigmann was a huge critique. One time, when my group and I made a tiny mistake in a video and he made us start the scene all over again.
